VisionChina Media Inc. was founded in 2005 and currently is the largest mobile digital TV advertising network operator covering mass transportation, such as buses and subways in China. The company's network covers more than 25,000 buses with over 50,000 panels.
VisionChina derives revenue by selling advertising time slots during breaks between programs on its network. Its advertising clients include direct advertisers and advertising agencies. Since April 2005, when the company began operations, more than 380 advertising clients have purchased advertising time slots on VisionChina's network in 26 cities across China.
VisionChina has the competitive edge in providing real-time content updates (such as stock quotes, traffic and weather updates) targeted at a specific group of customers in specific locations. There are more than 230 advertisers with key customers mainly from F&G advertisers (24%), pharmaceutical and nutritional supplements (22%) and household products (14%).
