Baidu Inc. Launches iPhone App

By Mark Wu – On February 9, Chinese search engine Baidu Inc. (NASDAQ:BIDU) launched the “iPhone open beta version” of its mobile service “Baidu in Hand”. This version comes ahead of the Chinese Spring Festival, and several days after Baidu launched “Baidu In Hand 2010 Beta 2” for other wireless handsets.

The “Baidu in Hand” iPhone App contains Baidu’s most popular services including Baidu Webpage Search, Baidu News, Baidu Post Bar, Baidu Knows, Baidu Map, etc. The App also embeds wireless sites directory and bookmarking functions. This iPhone App features convenient operations and considerate designs that allow users to use “Baidu in Hand” more quickly and more accurately. The App also supports multi-tab browsing to facilitate the browsing process, and includes a “Download Management” function for users to conveniently view and use various download services.
