Below are today's notable solar stocks with significant news and price performance:
ReneSola Ltd. (NYSE:SOL) rose 3.54% to $5.55. The company announced Q2:2009 earnings Wednesday morning before market open. Today Credit Suisse upgraded SOL to Outperform from Neutral, and raised price target from $3.80 to $7.50. Barclays Capital maintained Equal Weight rating on SOL, and reduced price target from $5.60 to $4.50. Piper Jaffray downgraded SOL from Neutral to Underweight, and reduced price target from $6.50 to $4.00.
LDK Solar Co., Ltd. (NYSE:LDK) declined 18.38% to $9.15. The company reported earnings for Q2:2009 Wednesday after market close. Today Barclays Capital maintained Equal Weight rating and $7.50 price target on LDK. UBS maintained Neutral rating and $14 price target on LDK.
Yingli Green Energy Hold. Co. Ltd. (NYSE:YGE) declined 8.77% to $12.28. Barclays Capital maintained Overweight rating on YGE, and reduced price target from $16.50 to $16.00.
JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd. (NASDAQ:JASO) declined 7.83% to $4.12. The company reported Q2:2009 earnings Wednesday before market open. Today Barclays Capital downgraded JASO from Overweight to Equal Weight, and reduced price target from $5 to $4. Credit Suisse maintained Neutral rating on JASO, but raised price target from $3 to $4.
Canadian Solar Inc. (NASDAQ:CSIQ) declined 7.69% to $16.93. Barclays Capital maintained Underweight rating and $8 price target on CSIQ.
