Top Chinese Internet search engine Baidu Inc. (NASDAQ:BIDU) reported Q2:09 earnings above Wall Street estimates.
For Q2 2009, Baidu reported GAAP EPS of $1.61 on $$160.7 million Revenues. On average, Analysts expected EPS of $1.44 per share, on revenue of $157.8 million. Baidu expects revenue to range from $184 million to $189 million in Q3:09, or an increase of 15% to 18% over Q2:09.
Baidu, which offers paid search marketing solutions to thousands of Chinese businesses, announced its active customers increased 9.7% quarter-over-quarter to 203,000, and average revenue per customer increaed 22.7% quarter-over-quarter to $791.
Recently, Baidu officially launched "Baidu Statistics" traffic monitoring service and a new ad management product named "Baidu Ad Guan Jia" for its advertising customers. Its social networking service Baidu Space reached 100 million registered users and two million concurrent users on its third anniversary.
